Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas offers com¬prehensive nutrition education, counseling and lifestyle coaching by Registered and Licensed Dietitians. Baylor’s Outpatient Nutrition Services seeks to educate on proper nutrition and lifestyle habits that will promote the well being of both individuals and families. Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) is offered for a wide range of disease states such as Type II Diabetes, Cardiovascular Disease, Digestive Disorders, Hypertension, Obesity, and much more.
In addition, nutrition counseling is available for pregnant and lactating women, athletes and sports enthusiasts, and individuals seeking to improve and enhance personal health and well-being.
What to Expect From a Nutrition Counseling Consultation:
An initial appointment with the dietitian generally last an hour, at which time the dietitian will review your lifestyle habits including eating and exercise habits; medications and vitamins, minerals, or herbal supplements you are taking; and discuss your health goals and expectations. The role of the Dietitian is to provide education, guidance and encouragement to assist you with meeting your personal goals.

What Are The Costs?
Please contact the Baylor Outpatient Nutrition Counseling office for costs. At the current time we do not verify insurance coverage through your insurance company, but do encourage you to check with your insurance plan to determine if you have nutrition benefits. We do recommend a referral from a physician, but it is not required.
