- Minimum of 10 weeks, unless the university requirements state differently.
- Students must exhibit a genuine and sincere interest in the fitness industry.
- All interns must be professionally dressed in casual business attire.
- Candidates must exhibit good communication skills both oral and written.
- Students must show proof of CPR certification.

Bill J. Smith, Ph.D, Internship Coordinator Bio:
Dr. Bill Smith, Intern Coordinator, supervises the Internship Program, which consists of selection and placements of all applicants. With over forty-one years in the educational field, Dr. Smith has served as teacher, counselor and administrator with additional experience as a college professor. He is the author of two books, Math for Elementary Children and Careers for Tomorrow. Currently, Dr. Smith is employed at Richland College as an Adjunct Professor for the Human Academic Development Department.
